Enrolling in our school is a very straight forward process. Firstly, it is recommended that you use Education Queensland's enrolment catchment map to check if your street address is within our catchment boundaries. Students residing within the school's catchment area are welcome to enrol at anytime.
The next step is to download and complete the following enrolment documents:
* Please note that a swimming permission form needs to be completed annually.
Once enrolment documents are completed, please phone our school to arrange an enrolment interview. All appropriate documentation should be brought to this interview.
For more information on how we manage enrolments at Morningside State School, please see our School Enrolment Management Plan.
What to bring to enrolment interview
- Proof of age (birth certificate or passport) must be provided for all children entering Prep.
- Proof of address - 2 documents are required, 1st document must be rates notice or lease agreement and 2nd document must be a utilities bill (preferrably power bill)
- Report cards and/or records of previous schooling, especially if not coming from an Education Queensland school.
- Medical as applicable - health plans eg. Asthma, Anaphylaxis, etc
- Special needs information as applicable.
- New residents (parents and students) to Australia must also bring passports and their visa. Further information can be found at the Education Queensland International (EQI) website.
Out of catchment enrolments
Students residing outside the catchment boundaries are welcome to apply for enrolment at any time and, if a vacancy exists, may enrol at our school. If there is no vacancy at the time of enrolment, the student will be placed on a waiting list.
To be placed on our out of catchment wait list please email admin@morningsidess.eq.edu.au with your child's name, date of birth, current address, parent name, parent email and parent contact phone number.
